Job Insecurity

Image
I have been constantly hearing about the firing policy of most of the organisation. Many employees have been Asked To Leave (ATL) or fired by the organisation for various reasons. So many people are sitting unemployed and the number is just keeps on increasing. Also, those people who are still in the organisation, don't have any security about their job. Any day, organisation will walk to an employee and will inform him that he is no longer required by the organisation. One day you make good money and the next day, sitting at home unemployed. There is no stability, no security, no understanding, nothing! Employee are no longer treated as an asset to the organisation. They are more of a liability which they will get rid of anytime if it exceeds the limit.
How a person can know when he his turn to get fired will come? How a person can judge the time he will spend in a particular organisation? In sales kind of profile, if you aren't bringing sales in first 2-3 months, the chances …

Book Review: Wuthering Heights

Image
Somewhere in my search of good books I heard of Wuthering Heights, Emily Bronte's only novel which was published in year 1847. Considering the time when it was written, the story of the book is compelling and it explores the various facets of love, obsession and jealousy.

The story is about a boy who has hidden his feelings which lead to revenge over generation after generation. A classic story of poor boy challenged to be amongst the top layer of the society and later being hated by everyone due to evil intentions and conduct. The story is narrated by house-maid, Nelly Dean to the new tenant, Mr. Lockwood, a wealthy man visiting south of England and rented a place in Yorkshire, Thrushcross Grange. The landlord of Grange, Mr. Healthcliff stays in farmhouse, Wuthering Heights.
The story revolves around two family, Earnshaw and Linton. Mr. Earnshow owns a farmhouse called Withering Heights and Mr. Linton owns the house, Thrushcross Grange, where he and his wife stays with their two …

Faces of Darkness

Image
We all have dark side; some might show it, some will hide it with what appears to be pretty side. But what this darkness is? What this darkness is all about? I came across this thought when I saw the episode of a high school series name ‘One Tree Hill’. The show is about high school and different types of people living their life. This particular episode is about a boy who is treated as nothing in the school. He is neither acknowledged nor been part of any group. He is no one in high school and he gets tired of being treated like this. He quotes, “It always hurts and hurts every single day.” In four year of high school, very few people actually spoke to him. He took many anti-depressant tablets and didn’t come to school for 2 weeks and no one realised. This episode is one of the finest episode and it makes us wonder about our past life in school/college.
When I look back or even now, I can associate with the character of the boy. Many of us go through a phase where either we are popula…

Hello Mr. J

Image
Mr. J very popular amongst all generation. You must be wondering who is or what is Mr. J.. It's none other than Jealousy. Why he is having a better job than me, why is she married to rich guy, why they go on holiday and we don't.. There are so many sentences like this running in our mind everyday. These thoughts cross our mind all the time. What we do when Mr. J runs in our mind, we follow him around.

Mr. J is so impressive that we fall in his trap everytime. He come, he concurred and he came again. Mr. J comes especially when we want something and we don't get or when we lose or fail, or when we chase and realise we are no longer in the race.

Jealousy is normal human tendency. It is just a emotion like happy or sad. Many people take jealousy as stepping stone, more like motivation to do better than someone. If he can buy sedan than I will buy SUV. If he has 2BHK flat than I will buy 3BHK. This kind of motivation is good but people forget in jealousy that you cant spread …
