A Letter to Life - #DearZindagi

Image
Dear Zindagi, So many thoughts come to my mind when I look at my life, when I look at moments which we have created, the sadness we have gone through, the joy of achievement and also regret of the past. Every year I keep thinking I am still young and every birthday is a reminder that I am growing faster. The moments pass by and we feel as if we are in a trance.  This letter is not to reflect what could have been, neither it is to talk about the roller coaster ride we had. This letter is to tell you, dear life, that you have been an amazing partner (though we may have few fights), a strict teacher (though I hated your class), a supporting boss (though we had our differences) and a silent listener (though you talked more sense). There are many instances where your twisted way of working has always intrigued me. This letter is to share what I have learned in this 20 something year we shared together (Yes, I will still not agree on the exact number).  Photo courtesy: Google

Book Review: Harry Potter and The Cursed Child

Being a huge Harry Potter fan and after reading all Harry Potter books more than 5 times, I was super excited to get my hands on Harry Potter and The Cursed Child. The way J K Rowling has expanded the world of wizard and Hogward's was fascinating, enchanting rather. There have been times when I take any Harry Potter book and spend nights reading it. Once the seventh book, Harry Potter and The Deathly Hollow was out, I thought it was over. Especially after reading the Epilogue, I was really craving to read more about the world without Voldemort in it. A world where Harry is a regular Dad and Ron and Harmione together. Harry Potter and The Cursed Child is an answer to all those who asked

Book Review: The Zahir

After ‘The Alchemist’ by Paulo Coelho, ‘The Zahir’ was my second book. The book is written from the point of view of unnamed celebrity author who talks about his life and his search and his Zahir, a blinding obsession, in the book. The author lives in Paris with his wife Esther, a war correspondent. His life is turned upside down when he finds out that his wife is missing. 2 years goes and there is still no sign of Esther. The unanswered questions and unknown reason of disappearance leads to pain and suffering. Author to release his pain and writes a book about love. This book brings Mikhail, a young boy from Kazakhstan, to meet the author who helps him with the whereabouts of his wife. The book talks about how he rediscovers himself, the energy of love and also falls in love with French actress. There are various talks between Esther and author which are thought provoking. The topics triggering my brain waves were about happiness and sadness in people’s eye. How a daily li
